German-born Ghanaian forward Prince Owusu continued his rich run of goal scoring form after netting again for CF Montreal in their Leagues Cup game against Puebla.
The 28-year-old striker opened the scoring for the Canadians but Puebla recovered to secure a 2-1 victory.
Following a barren first half, Owusu pounced on a Caden Clark cross to brilliantly finish and give his side the lead in the 47th minute despite having a man sent off in the 23rd minute.
The Mexicans took advantage of their sending off of Joel Veltman to level the scores in the 58th minute.
With 13 minutes remaining, Ricardo Marin snatched the winner after finishing off a swift move from the visitors.
Puebla were then reduced to ten men following a dramatic end to the game against Raul Castillo got sent off in the 91st minute.
Meanwhile, Owusu has now scored two goals in three matches in the Leagues Cup while also recording 11 strikes in 25 MLS games this season.
The former Paderborn striker is yet to receive an invite from the national team.
