Tottenham Hotspur forward Brennan Johnson has praised new signing Mohammed Kudus, revealing the Ghanaian has already made a strong impression since arriving in North London.
Kudus joined Spurs this summer following an outstanding campaign at West Ham United, where he earned plaudits for his flair, versatility and goal threat. His arrival boosts a Tottenham squad gearing up for a return to the UEFA Champions League.
“I’ve been really impressed with him since he came in. Really nice guy as well,” Johnson said in an interview with journalist Alasdair Gold.
Reflecting on Spurs’ lack of squad depth last season, Johnson continued: “There were quite a few games where I don’t think we even had 11 first-team players. Getting as much quality as we can is important because we’re in the Champions League and want to go far in all competitions.”
He added: “It wasn’t just a one-off thing â we want to be in the Champions League every year. We need the quality and depth in the squad. We’re getting there. Hopefully, we can stay fit this season and compete on all fronts.”
Kudus provides another attacking option for manager Ange Postecoglou, and Johnson believes the former Ajax and West Ham star’s presence will only strengthen the team as they chase success domestically and in Europe.
