Ghana winger Emmanuel Gyasi joins Palermo on loan

Italy-born Ghana international Emmanuel Gyasi has joined Serie B side Palermo on a season-long loan.The 31-year-old signed for his hometown club from Empoli, with Palermo having the obligation of making the deal a permanent one.The experienced midfielder is expected to play a significant role at the Pink and Black as they eye a return to the Italian topflight league.Palermo FC announces the acquisition of Emanuel Gyasi from Empoli FC. The player is moving on loan with an obligation to buy. Emanuel was welcomed to Palermo by City Football Group, President Mirri, and the entire Palermo family,' wrote the club welcoming the 3-time capped Black Stars player.Gyasi has enormous experience in the top two leagues of Italy, having starred for Spezia to secure their promotion to the Serie A in 2020. He made 64 appearances, scoring 11 goals and delivering 9 assists during his days in the Serie B.Meanwhile, he is one of a few Ghanaians players with over 100 appearances in the Serie A, having featured in 178 games in the top division.
