The Charles Gordon Trust Awards is back this year with a bang! The 2025 edition, billed to be a spectacular event and an unforgettable experience, is scheduled to take place at the Grand Sapphire in London, United Kingdom on October 11, 2025.
The highlights of the award show will include high-end entertainment throughout the night, celebrity performances, a live auction, three-course dinner and an after party hosted by the legendary General Levy.
Ghanaian graduate of the British Academy of Fashion Design, a Forbes Blk member for 2024 and the Creative Director of the multiple award-winning fashion brand, 101 Clothing, Henry F. O. Amponsah, has been nominated in the Business Person Excellence category of the Charles Gordon Trust Awards.
After showcasing ‘Life at 21’ at the UK Fashion Show in Camden Centre during the London Fashion week, Henry Amponsah became a household name in the United Kingdom. This earned him an opportunity to be featured in the British Vogue Magazine and Glamour Magazine. As a bespoke tailoring company, 101 Clothing focusses on a diverse range of services including personal styling, hospitality to movie costuming.
At the recently held Diaspora Economic Forum, he made a presentation, which traced the historical significance of African textiles, from the use of indigenous fabrics like Kente, Mudcloth, and Ankara, to their modern reinterpretation on global runways. Henry Amponsah further emphasized on how fashion in Africa has become more than just aesthetic, rather a statement of pride, resistance, innovation and one of Africa’s most dynamic industries.
