Ghana Heavy Equipment Limited (GHEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mr Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as Kwame A-Plus, the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, to advance the establishment of the Gomoa Central Special Economic Zone.
The agreement aims to drive industrialisation and economic transformation within the district by promoting agricultural mechanisation, manufacturing, and industrial infrastructure development.
In his remarks, Mr Obeng expressed his commitment to positioning Gomoa Central as a key industrial and economic hub in Ghana.
He lauded the partnership with GHEL, emphasising his appreciation for working with visionary and dynamic young leaders such as Mr Mutalib Awal, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of GHEL.
Mr Awal, in his statement, thanked the Gomoa Central MP for the opportunity to collaborate with the people of Gomoa Central.
He reaffirmed GHEL’s dedication to adding value to Ghana’s agricultural value chain and supporting other industrial initiatives, including the Sister City Project Concept, aimed at fostering sustainable local and international partnerships.
