All is set for Mr. Benjamin Kwaku Boakye to undergo customary rites to occupy the Okomfo Anokye Amoampon Stool of Asante Agona as the newly nominated Omanhene of Agona Traditional Area.
He was officially presented to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace by the Paramount Queen Mother of Agona, Nana Acheampomaa Ntansa Yiadom II and kingmakers of Agona on Monday.
The nomination process and formal introduction to the Asantehene herald a series of oath-swearing ceremonies to the people of Agona, the Agona Traditional Council, the Asantehene and Asanteman.
Upon his installation, Benjamin Kwaku Boakye would succeed the late Omanhene, Nana Frimpong Anokye Ababio (known in private life as Dr. Daniel Kwasi Berkoh), who passed away in 2022.
