ADO Den Haag have added Danish-Ghanaian defender Jonas Jensen-Abbew to their squad after reaching an agreement with AGF Aarhus.
The 24-year-old centre-back has signed a long-term deal in The Hague that runs until mid-2030, giving the club an important defensive addition for the years ahead.
Jensen-Abbew developed through much of his youth career at FC Nordsjaelland, where he made his senior debut in October 2021. He gained more experience during a loan spell at HB Køge in the 2022-23 season before returning to Nordsjælland. In February 2024, he moved to AGF Aarhus and went on to make 44 official appearances for the Danish side. He also featured in Champions League qualifying and represented Denmark at several youth levels, including the Under-21 team.
ADO technical director Mark Wotte said the club had followed Jensen-Abbew closely through its scouting network and saw strong development potential in him. He added that the defender can operate both centrally and at full-back, which gives the team useful tactical flexibility.
With this move, ADO have secured a player who combines youth, versatility and international experience. Jensen-Abbew now arrives in a new environment where the expectation is that he will continue to grow and compete for a regular place in the side.
