Austrian defender of Ghanaian descent, Kevin Danso, climbed off the bench on Wednesday night to score for Tottenham Hotspur in their big win over Charlton Athletic in the EFL Cup.
The versatile defender scored with his first touch of the game after coming on in the 65th minute to replace Rodrigo Bentancur
Tottenham eventually secured a 5-1 win at the end of the second round tie to advance to the next round of the cup completion.
On the matchday, the home team dominated for most parts of the first half but only managed to break the deadlock in the 40th minute through a thunderbolt strike from Mikey Moore.
Then in the 45th minute, striker Dominic Solanke equalized to make it 2-0 after reacting quickest to pounce on a lose ball in the area.
After recess, Spurs continued to control the contest and scored three more to secure the big win. Danso headed home the third in the 69th minute before Savinho and Ben Davies put the icing on the cake.
The only consolation goal for Charlton Athletic was scored by Lloyd Jones in the 87th minute.
The result sees Tottenham advance to the next round in the EFL Cup while Charlton bow out after losing to a better team.
