The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has selected the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium as the host venue for the 2026 X1 Division One League (DOL) Super Cup, which will be staged from August 10 to 18.
Obuasi was chosen from a number of venues considered for this year's competition, with the decision reflecting the GFA's commitment to taking its competitions to different parts of the country while providing players and supporters with a quality matchday experience.
The tournament will feature eight of the best-performing clubs from the Division One League, all competing for the X1 DOL Super Cup title.
Representing Zone One are Debibi United and Tamale City, while FC AshantiGold and Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs qualified from Zone Two. Port City FC and Semper Fi FC secured their places from Zone Three, with Attram De Visser SC and Nsuopon Fidelity FC completing the line-up as the two best third-placed teams across the three zones.
The eight clubs will be drawn into two groups of four before progressing to the knockout stage.
Renowned for its excellent playing surface and modern facilities, the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium has hosted several major domestic and international fixtures and is expected to provide an ideal setting for the competition.
The tournament is also expected to attract strong local support, particularly with AshantiGold among the participating teams.
This year's edition will be the first under the sponsorship of X1 Energy Drink following the company's recent five-year partnership with the Ghana Football Association.
