Barcelona have renewed their interest in Club Brugge rising star Jesse Bisiwu, making fresh contact as they push to secure the promising winger's signature during the summer transfer window.
Mundo Deportivo reports that the Catalan club’s sporting department has identified the 18-year-old Belgian as a priority target and has been tracking him closely for a long time.
Bisiwu is yet to break into Brugge’s first team but has impressed for their reserve side Club NXT and in youth competitions. He played a key role in Brugge’s run to the UEFA Youth League final, scoring three goals and providing one assist in just three games as the team finished runners-up. His current contract with the Belgian club runs until June 2027, giving Brugge a strong negotiating position as talks continue.
Barcelona initially view Bisiwu as a reinforcement for Barca Atletic, yet they see him as a long-term investment for the senior side and are not ruling out giving him chances with the first team if he settles quickly.
The player is described as being “very excited” by the prospect of joining the Spanish champions and continuing his development at Camp Nou. For Barca, the deal fits their strategy of targeting emerging talent who can grow into key roles in the coming years.
