Egyptian referee Mahmoud Wafa Mohamed has been appointed to officiate the crucial Group D encounter between Ghana and South Africa at the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco on Wednesday evening.
The match is expected to play a key role in deciding qualification to the knockout stage and the FIFA U17 World Cup later this year.
CAF confirmed that Tunisian official Yassine Saadaoui will serve as assistant referee one, while Egyptian referee Soliman Mohamed Magdy has been named assistant referee two.
Cameroonian official Willy Stephane Ngah will take up the role of fourth referee, with Mahamed Alteer of Libya serving as reserve assistant referee.
CAF also appointed Negash Negassi of Eritrea as match commissioner, while Paulin Samuel will work as the referees assessor for the encounter.
The Black Starlets head into the match looking to recover from their narrow defeat to Senegal in their previous group game.
