Ghana’s Black Queens will begin their journey toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games from the second round of the African qualifiers, after being handed a bye from the opening stage.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the preliminary schedule for the Women’s Olympic Football qualifiers, with Ghana’s higher continental ranking earning them direct entry into Round Two.
In that round, the Black Queens will face the winner of the first-round clash between Mauritius and Djibouti, with matches set to be played between October 5 and October 13, 2026.
Beyond that stage, Ghana will still have to navigate three more knockout rounds in a demanding qualification path as they aim to secure one of Africa’s limited slots at the 2028 Olympic Games.
