Ghana Premier League side Medeama Sporting Club have appointed renowned Ghanaian broadcaster Benjamin William Graham as their Communications Director.
The appointment announced on Tuesday night indicated that Willie Graham commences his new role immediately.
“Medeama Sporting Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Benjamin William Graham as the club's new Communications Director, effective immediately,” an official club notice said.
The notice added, “Benjamin arrives at Medeama with a truly global football pedigree. Last season, he gained firsthand experience inside one of the world's biggest clubs, working as a matchday hospitality intern at Manchester United Football Club — operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure Premier League environment and contributing to the matchday experience for over 70,000 fans at Old Trafford.”
Graham’s experience abroad adds another impressive chapter to an already distinguished career spanning over 15 years at the intersection of sports, media, and public relations in Ghana and across the continent.
In the past, he has held senior roles at some of Ghana's most prestigious sporting institutions, including Marketing Manager at the Ghana Football Association and Deputy Director of Communications at the Ghana Olympic Committee.
He is also an alumnus of the Ghana Institute of Journalism, holding an MA in Media Management, and is currently pursuing an MSc in Sports Business Management and Policy at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Willie Graham has covered five FIFA World Cups and multiple Africa Cup of Nations tournaments across four continents.
His broadcasting credits include lead commentary roles for CAF, ESPN, Fox Sports Africa, and SuperSport's DSTV platform. He also served as Media Attaché for Team Ghana at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
In 2021, he was recognised as Sports Commentator of the Year at both the Ghana Media Personality Awards and the Soccer Achievers Awards.
At Medeama SC, he will lead the club's media strategy, brand communications, public relations, and digital presence, as the club continues to grow its footprint both locally and on the continental stage.
