Asante Kotoko midfielder Hubert Gyau says his outfit is looking forward to the upcoming Ghana Premier League clash against Hearts of Oak after triumphing over Karela United.
The Porcupine Warriors cruised to a 4-2 victory in matchday eight of the domestic top-flight, held at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday. Goals from Seth Kwadwo, Peter Amidu and Hubert Gyau’s brace were enough for Kotoko to secure the three maximum points at stake on Sunday afternoon.
Having secured victory over Karela, Gyau, who emerged as the hero for the Ghanaian giants has shifted his attention to the Super Clash on Sunday.
“We were more determined to win the game. It was a must-win game for us. We are now looking forward to the Accra Hearts of Oak clash on Sunday” he said.
Asante Kotoko have dominated Hearts of Oak in the past five games and are looking forward to upsetting the Phobians again. It promises to be a thrilling encounter as both teams will be yearning for the points at stake.
Hearts of Oak are third on the Premier League standings with 16 points, while Kotoko sit eight spot with 11 points, but are three matches behind the due to their Africa campaign involvement.
