Asante Kotoko midfielder Seth Kwadwo has reiterated the team’s ambition to reclaim the Ghana Premier League title after their commanding 4-2 victory over Karela United.
The Porcupine Warriors produced a confident display at the Baba Yara Stadium, with goals from Hubert Gyau, Joseph Ablorh and Peter Acquah Amidu securing three points in their Matchday 8 fixture.
The result came as a timely response following their exit from the CAF Confederation Cup and reignited optimism among supporters.
Kwadwo believes the victory reflects Kotoko’s growing momentum in their pursuit of the league crown.
“It's a massive win and I mean, it will boost our morale because it has been our ambition to win this year's league,” he said after the game.
He added that the team’s focus remains firm ahead of their next major test against rivals Hearts of Oak.
“This win will motivate us as we head into the Super Clash. We are assuring them they should come and support us, and we will not disappoint them.”
Kotoko will face Hearts of Oak in the Matchday 9 Super Clash at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
