Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan has reportedly taken Black Stars striker Antoine Semenyo under his wing, determined to help the AFC Bournemouth star reach his full potential.
According to a report by The Sun, Gyan has been working closely with Semenyo over the past six months, reviewing his game footage and offering tactical and psychological advice.
It is understood that their relationship has grown significantly during this period, with the former Black Stars captain acting as a mentor and big brother figure to the red-hot Bournemouth attacker.
The pair have been meeting in person when Semenyo joins the Black Stars for international duty.
Gyan, who scored 10 goals in 34 Premier League appearances for Sunderland during his stint in England before moving to Al Ain in the UAE, is using his vast experience to help Semenyo stay focused and make the right decisions on and off the pitch.
Semenyo, 25, has been one of the top attackers in the English Premier League since the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
He has scored six goals and provided three assists for AFC Bournemouth in the English Premier League after making nine appearances.
It is reported that the guidance of Gyan is contributing to Semenyo’s impressive displays in the English Premier League.
