Nations FC new coach Stephen Frimpong Manso intends to build a team capable of winning laurels in the domestic scene.
Manso, who was recently sacked by Bibiani Goldstars following their CAF Champions League qualification exit to JS Kabylie has joined the Abrankese-based club on a two-year deal.
The veteran Ghanaian tactician replaces Kasim Ocansey Mingle after a sluggish start to the Premier League season.
“I want to build a team that is strong enough to win titles and also play a good football. I believe in a team that fight. Football has evolved and knowing how to play alone is not enough, but playing without the ball is the most important thing”
“We will look at it critically and get the best out of the players. We will deal with the two key aspect of the game - with and without the ball. We will emphasize for the players to get that concept” he told the club’s media.
Frimpong Manso’s appointment marks his latest return to top-flight management and presents an opportunity to reaffirm his credentials as one of Ghana’s most experienced coaches.
The experienced tactician will begin his reign as head coach of Nations with a crucial away Ghana Premier League clash against Bechem United, who has been inconsistent so far this season.
