Greater Accra climbed to the top of Group B in the ongoing MTN Elite U19 Championship after a commanding 4-0 victory over Volta Region on Tuesday, October 28, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.
Emmanuel Lomotey opened the scoring in the 19th minute, before Yussif Saani doubled the lead in the 55th. Sadick Fuseini made it three in the 67th minute, and Aaron Salifu, who was later named Player of the Match, completed the rout in the 89th minute.
The result sends the capital side three points clear of Ashanti Region at the top with nine points, while Volta remain third.
Running from October 23 to November 2, 2025, the MTN Elite U19 Championship brings together ten regional teams from across the country. The tournament offers a crucial platform for emerging talents to showcase their abilities and attract attention from national team selectors and scouts.
