David Moyes has spoken fondly of his time coaching Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus, describing him as a “brilliant player” and Tottenham Hotspur’s standout signing of the summer.
The Everton boss, who managed Kudus at West Ham three seasons ago, said he always knew the forward would excel at the top level.
Kudus played just one campaign under Moyes â a breakout season that showcased his power, technique, and flair.
“He’s a brilliant player,” Moyes said before Everton’s 3-0 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday. “He has so many attributes to his game. He is a great boy to work with. I hugely enjoyed managing him.”
Kudus, who cost Spurs £55 million from West Ham, has been a revelation under Thomas Frank.
The 25-year-old leads the Premier League assist charts alongside Jack Grealish, with both players on four.
Moyes praised Kudus’s adaptability and physicality, describing him as a rare attacking talent capable of playing multiple roles.
“He has great balance, can’t be knocked off the ball, and can play inside or outside,” the Scot said. “He can play several positions if you want him.”
The Ghanaian international scored 18 goals in his first West Ham season and continued his form before sealing a high-profile move to North London.
“He’s just finding his form at Tottenham,” Moyes added. “From a distance, he looks like their best buy of the summer.”
