David Moyes believes Mohammed Kudus has been Tottenham Hotspur’s best signing of the summer, praising the Ghanaian’s form and influence under Thomas Frank.
The Everton manager, who signed Kudus for West Ham three seasons ago, says he always knew the 25-year-old would thrive at the highest level.
Kudus joined Spurs for £55 million in the summer and has quickly become a key creative force.
“He’s a brilliant player,” Moyes said ahead of Everton’s 3-0 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday.
“He has so many attributes to his game. He is a great boy to work with. I hugely enjoyed managing him.”
Kudus has been one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season, leading the assist charts alongside England international Jack Grealish.
Both players have registered four assists and none added to their tally over the weekend.
Moyes said Kudus’s versatility and strength make him an invaluable asset for Tottenham.
“He has great balance, can’t be knocked off the ball, and can play inside or outside,” the former West Ham boss added. “He can play several positions if you want him.”
Kudus scored 18 goals across all competitions for West Ham two seasons ago and scored another five last term before earning his move to North London.
His ability to adapt quickly to Tottenham’s style has been widely praised.
“He is just finding his form at Tottenham,” Moyes noted. “At the moment, from a distance, he looks like their best buy of the summer. I am not a Tottenham expert, but that’s how it looks.”
