German-Ghanaian winger Jamie Leweling is back and training with VfB Stuttgart after overcoming muscle problems in his adductors.
The 24-year-old winger joined team training this week and traveled with the squad to Istanbul for the Europa League clash against Fenerbahce, marking a positive step in his comeback.
"We arrived with a squad that is healthy and registered," explained coach Sebastian Hoeneà before the match. Leweling missed the Bundesliga fixture against Wolfsburg, but his chances of returning for Sunday’s league showdown versus Mainz look promising.
Leweling’s return is a boost for Stuttgart’s attacking options. This season in the Bundesliga, he has played 6 matches, provided 3 assists, and covered over 55 kilometers, demonstrating his stamina with 108 sprints and a top speed of 33.68 km/h.
Jamie Leweling's comeback has fans excited for more dynamic play.
