Bechem United head coach Desmond-Issah Botchway is demanding more from his players after their first win in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
The Hunters secured a 2-0 victory over Vision FC over the weekend to end a five-match winless run in the Ghanaian top-flight league.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Desmond-Issah Botchway insisted that he is not relieved although Bechem United have finally recorded their first win of the campaign.
He noted that his team must remain focused and continue to work to improve their finishing ahead of upcoming matches.
“I’m not all that relieved because we are still trying to correct things in the last third of the game. Today we had some chances and we were able to convert two,” Desmond-Issah Botchway said.
He continued, “We need to make sure the finishing comes well. For now, it’s not well. We want to score from the chances we make. We will continue to work. We want to tell the fans that we will go on to work hard to ensure they smile more.”
Up next for Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League, they will take on Karela United on October 26.
