Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has described Ivan Juric as his "perfect coach" following their reunion.
After leaving Southampton, Juric joined Atalanta as the head coach while Sulemana joined the Serie A side during the summer transfer window.
Juric, who lasted just 107 days in charge of Southampton last season, acted quickly to sign Kamaldeen at Atalanta this summer, and has reaped the rewards.
The Ghana winger has made a flying start in Bergamo, scoring two goals in six league appearances, already matching his season best figures at Saints.
“Juric is the perfect coach for me, both tactically and technically. He trusted me right away when I arrived at Southampton," Sulemana told Gazzetta.
“He’s a mentor to me; he helps me find the right position on the pitch, whether I attack or defend. He’s a teacher, and I’m a student. I trust him and always want to improve," he added.
Atalanta are sixth in Serie A, with 10 points from six games, and have already notched their first win in the Champions League.
Sulemana will hope to continue his impressive start at the club when Atalanta host Lazio at the Gewiss Stadium.
