English-Ghanaian forward Eddie Nketiah shared his excitement after playing a huge role in Crystal Palace's first ever win in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
The former Arsenal striker continued his rich goal-scoring form after scoring again for Palace in their 2-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv.
Nketiah, who scored a last-minute winner against Liverpool in the Premier League last Sunday, sealed victory for the Eagles in the 58th minute with an exquisite finish. Daniel Munoz had opened the scoring for the visitors halfway into the first half.
“I feel good. I'm enjoying my football, which is the most important thing," he said after the game.
“I’m happy to contribute and happy to be part of this team in such a great run. Hopefully we can keep it going.
“Obviously, it’s a really good start with the three points. A couple of goals is always nice and a clean sheet. We’re really happy and looking to build on it.
“I think it was really close, the first one. I thought I was onside to be fair! It was a nice finish. But yeah, Yeremy produced a wonderful bit of skill to be honest. And I was just alert, got across my man at the front post, and it was a nice finish!”
Nketiah and his teammates travel to Everton for their next game in the Premier League.
