The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, has described his team’s 1-0 defeat to Karela United in the Ghana Premier League in Week 3 as a setback in their title ambitions.
However, in assessing the overall performance of his team, the tactician believes that things will get better in the upcoming matches.
He has urged his players to move on from the setback and focus on their next match in the Ghana Premier League against Nations FC.
“In terms of the results, definitely it’s a setback. But I think when you look at how we played in terms of possession, in terms of chance creation, definitely it's not a setback. We have finished that one, and we have to concentrate on our next game against Nations FC,” Ibrahim Tanko said.
With two wins and one defeat in their first three matches of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign, Medeama SC are fourth in the league standings.
The Yellow and Mauves will host Karela United in Week 4 on Sunday, October 5, at the TnA Stadium, with the match scheduled to kick off at 3 pm.
