Derrick Asiamah believes Swedru All Blacks cannot afford anything less than victory when they meet defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars on Saturday, October 4, at the Swedru Sports Stadium.
The midfielder admitted the team owes their supporters a response after last weekend’s painful 2-1 loss to Aduana FC, which halted their push for consecutive league wins.
“Our intensity in the training ground is very high because we know our fans were not happy with the defeat in Dormaa. We don’t have any option than to win the game against Bibiani Gold Stars," Swedru All Blacks Midfielder Derrick Asiamah told Swedru All Black Communications.
Asiamah’s words reflect the mood in camp, where belief remains strong despite early setbacks in the Premier League. Coach Ahmed Ibrahim Fathi has encouraged his men to build on their attacking rhythm, with the team scoring in all three league matches so far.
But their struggles at the back continue, conceding five goals already. Saturday’s game offers a chance to steady their campaign and give fans the win they are asking for.
