Oloboi Commodore named Chairman of KGL Inter-Regional Championship Committee
Great Olympics Board Member Oloboi Commodore has been appointed Chairman of the KGL Inter-Regional Championship Committee.Commodore is widely respected in football circles for his experience and leadership, particularly with the Wonder Club.He will be supported by Eric Opoku, CEO of Techiman Heroes FC, who assumes the role of Vice Chairman. Together, they will oversee the planning and execution of the championship, a competition designed to unearth and nurture the next generation of Ghanaian football talent.Other members of the committee include Abdulai Amidu, President of Kumasi-based Namoro FC and a serving member of the National Juvenile Committee; Faruk Abdulai, CEO of Northern City FC; and colts football enthusiast Albert Nii Borte Kotey. Also on the list are Michael Fiaduse, Greater Accra Regional Juvenile Committee Chairman and National Juvenile Committee member, and former Ghana international Stephen Baidoo, who featured for the Black Stars at the 1996 Olympics and the 2000 AFCON.The appointment reflects the GFAs commitment to youth development, with a blend of experienced administrators and ex-players tasked to deliver a well-structured and competitive tournament.
