Bechem United goalkeeper Benjamin Asiedu has lamented over the team’s defeat to Heart of Lions in the Ghana Premier League over the weekend.
The goalkeeper was in the post for the Hunters on Sunday when they suffered a 1-0 loss to the Kpando-based club.
Speaking in his post-match interview, goalkeeper Benjamin Asiedu argued that Bechem United deserved at least a point from the match, insisting that the result was not a true reflection of the contest that ensued between the two teams.
“I think without a doubt Heart of Lions are a good side. They played really well, but we also didn’t do badly at all. For me, the scoreline is not a true reflection of the game. We deserved a point or maybe all three points. But that’s football,” Asiedu told Bechem United TV.
Following a second defeat of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, Bechem United sit 15th in the league table, just one place above the relegation zone.
The team will now prepare for a challenging fixture against unbeaten Hearts of Oak on Friday, October 3.
