
Black Starlets are preparing for their opening match against Togo after arriving in Cote d'Ivoire for the 2025 WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations.
The team departed Accra on Monday after weeks of scouting, training, and conditioning at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
Head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh-Ogum, formerly of Asante Kotoko and WAFA, leads the side as Ghana seeks qualification for the next edition of the TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Starlets have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Côte d'Ivoire, Togo, and Niger. They will begin their campaign against Togo on Saturday, September 20, at 6:00 p.m. Their second fixture is a clash with the host nation on Tuesday, September 23, also at 6:00 p.m., before completing the group stage against Niger on Friday, September 26, at 3:00 p.m.
The tournament, serving as the official qualification route to the U-17 AFCON, will be staged in Yamoussoukro from September 20 to October 3, 2025.
