Head coach of Kwara United coach Tunde Sanni has expressed optimism about his outfit chances ahead of their game against Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Nigerian outfit will travel to face the Porcupine Warriors in the first preliminary round clash on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at the Accra Sports Stadium before the return clash in Nigeria a week later.
Kwara United played out a pulsating goalless draw against Warri Wolves in the Nigerian top-flight at the weekend as the club gear up for the Kotoko clash.
Ahead of the match, Tunde Sanni has affirmed his outfit can survive in Ghana against the Porcupine Warriors.
“I believe Asante Kotoko couldn’t have done better than this against Warri Wolves,” Sanni said.
“If we can survive like this, I’m sure we’re going to survive in Ghana. They cannot play better than we played today. We had a lot of pressure, but since we’ve survived it, we’re very sure we are going to survive in Ghana.”
Kotoko, whose name is firmly written into the history books of African football, are aiming for a deep run in this season’s competition.
