Medeama SC goalkeeper Felix Kyei was named Man of the Match after a commanding performance in their 2-0 victory over Young Apostles on Sunday afternoon at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa.
The shot-stopper proved decisive, making five important saves to deny the Apostles, who managed 14 attempts at goal but lacked the finishing edge to break through. His composure and safe hands under pressure ensured Medeama returned to Tarkwa with a clean sheet and three valuable points.
Goals from Emmanuel Owusu in the 17th minute and Paul Yeboah in the 63rd sealed the win for the Tarkwa-based side.
Young Apostles, who are temporarily playing in Dormaa until the Wenchi Sports Stadium meets Premier League standards, struggled to adapt to the unfamiliar venue and will need to regroup quickly before their next test against newly promoted Hohoe United.
Medeama, buoyed by Kyei’s heroics, now turn their attention to Vision FC in their first home game at the TNA Stadium next weekend.
