Southey Contracting Ltd, a fully indigenous Ghanaian company under the Ensol Group, has held its maiden Vendor Day in Takoradi.
The event marked a significant step toward strengthening partnerships and enhancing collaboration within its supply chain ecosystem.
Bringing together key vendor partners such as Mengen Ghana Limited, Eff-Ess Co. Ltd, and i-Neema Ghana Limited, the Vendor Day created a dynamic platform for open dialogue on operational excellence, compliance, and sustainable business practices. This initiative reflects Southey’s commitment to improving efficiency and capacity building for indigenous businesses supporting its operations across the Mining, Oil and Gas, Power Generation, and industrial sectors.
Mr. Ishmael Amegah, General Manager of Ensol Group Ltd, emphasized the importance of the occasion. “Our aim is to engage regularly with our vendor partners and provide ongoing training in critical areas including Health and Safety and Sustainability. This is fundamental to our mission of empowering indigenous companies to meet global standards,” he noted.
The comprehensive programme featured detailed presentations on Southey’s operational processes, service delivery expectations, health and safety protocols, procurement and payment procedures, corporate social responsibility, and compliance with Petroleum Commission and Local Content guidelines.
Participants lauded the event as a pioneering effort by an indigenous company in the sector. They committed to applying the insights gained to improve their practices and expressed enthusiasm about deepening future collaborations with Southey Contracting.
