Farmers’ Day weekend this year is set to be reminiscent of the days of yore when events like ‘Indutec’ and ‘Pork Show’ featured feverishly as must-visit on the social calendar.
The Gastro Feastival, pitched to be a vibrant celebration of food, culture and community, will come alive the weekend of December 5-6 at The Palms Convention Centre in Accra, offering a rich tapestry of sensory activities and experiences for families, friends and food lovers.
The event will present diverse ways patrons can access the range of vendors participating and attend engaging masterclass sessions, cooking shows, exhibitions and business pitches as well as enjoy the lively “Eats and Beats” entertainment. The event will also provide a platform for dialogue, innovation and celebration as Feastival will also create space for key conversations around food and culture.
Launched last March as part of Charterhouse’s 25th anniversary celebrations, the Gastro Feastival marks the flagship roll-out of a new initiative named The Business Elevate Series, a forward-looking, thought leadership programme aimed at driving inclusive growth through storytelling and sector engagement. This nationally curated event promises to reimagine Ghana’s food value chain by spotlighting four key pillars: production (farming), processing, distribution and consumption.
Through this initiative, Charterhouse aims to connect food system stakeholders, inspire innovation and elevate the potential of Ghana’s culinary landscape.
