Junior Agogo once upon a time the poster boy of the Black Stars is currently battling with stroke, but he will remain in the hearts of Ghanaian football fans for his goal against Nigeria in the quarter finals of the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Nigeria had taken the lead via Yakubu Ayegbeni’s penalty, but Michael Essien registered the equaliser for Ghana through a powerful header before Junior Agogo struck the winning goal to power Ghana into the semi-finals.

Agogo retired from active football in 2015 and has since been battling with stroke which has also led to Aphasia, a disease which tends to affect one’s ability to use language properly.
