Pope to visit Madagascar in 2019: cardinal

Pope Francis will visit Madagascar next year, the island nation's cardinal Desire Tsarahazana said on Tuesday.

"He will come to us in 2019," Tsarahazana told journalists at the Vatican.

Vatican spokesman Greg Burke however declined to confirm the visit but said it was being considered.
