
The National Sports Authority (NSA) has appealed to stakeholders in boxing and the wider sports community to remain calm following the death of professional boxer Ernest Akushey.
In a statement issued in Accra, the Authority extended its condolences to the family of the late boxer and urged the public to grant them privacy as they mourn.
The NSA said investigations into the circumstances surrounding Akushey’s death are ongoing.
It added that a comprehensive statement will be released after the investigations and the autopsy report are completed.
