
The Member of Parliament for the Karaga Constituency in the Northern region, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, has received praise from his constituents for spearheading several infrastructure development over the past seven years.
During a recent tour of some communities including: Nambrugu, Gbanlua, Zandua, Kpason, and Bagli a number of residents expressed deep appreciation for his developmental interventions, calling them “unprecedented” in the area.
Speaking to journalists, the Youth Chief of Nambrugu, Abdul Razak Abukari, highlighted several achievements credited to Dr Amin Adam, including the provision of AstroTurf, clinics in many communities, access to free WiFi for students, and improved healthcare infrastructure.
“Our children now have free WiFi and no longer struggle with data for their studies. Through the MP’s efforts, many of our development challenges have been resolved,” he said.
He pointed out to several transformative projects such as Pishigu Senior High School, Karaga STEM College of Education, Nyong Technical Institute, and the Binduli STEM Junior High School.
The Youth Chief also commended him on infrastructure development including road networks, bridges, and electrification projects. Water supply improvements, particularly through the drilling of mechanised boreholes.
He again thanked the minister for The Anta Scholarship Fund, which has supported many tertiary students with tuition aid.
According to another resident these efforts have helped uplift the constituency socially and economically, with many saying the face of Karaga—particularly the township, has visibly changed.
Dr Amin Adam, a former Finance Minister, expressed gratitude to the people for their continued support and pledged to keep working to address their needs.
“Karaga is my home, and I am doing everything possible to develop every community,” he noted.
“When I first contested the seat, I made a personal commitment to bring change—and I believe I have kept that promise,” he added.
Moreover, he acknowledged the constituency’s elevation from district to municipal status as one of the major milestones achieved during his tenure, attributing it to collaborative efforts with stakeholders.
The MP reaffirmed his dedication to the community, assuring residents that he would remain committed to their progress, regardless of the political climate.
