Projections are that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has lost all its seats in the Bono Region except for the Wenchi constituency, which they managed to wrestle from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The NDC, however, is projected to win the remaining seats, including Sunyani East and Sunyani West, traditionally NPP seats that have fallen to the NDC.
Historically NPP has won the Sunyani East and West parliamentary seats since 1996.
But this time around NDC’S Seid Mubarak is the new MP-elect for the Sunyani East, polling 26,888, representing 52.0 per cent, while the incumbent MP, Kwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh, managed 17,921, representing 34 per cent.
The Berekum East and West constituencies have also been taken by the NDC.
Former minister of Health, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu, MP for the Dormaa Central constituency, has also lost the seat to NDC’s John Jack.
The Dormaa West, which is an NDC safe seat, was retained by Mr Vincent Oppong Asamoah.
Other seats include Jaman North and Wenchi constituencies.
Projections also indicated that NDC has won all eleven seats in the Bono East Region.
