Under-Fire senior national team, the Black Stars, left Ghana yesterday for Libya for their second leg TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Matchday 4 qualifier against Sudan.
Ghana was held to a goalless encounter by the Sudanese at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday to leave the Stars in third position in the group.
The Black Stars lacked the killer instinct in front of goal, missing all the glorious chances that came their ways.
The outcome of Tuesday’s meeting would be very crucial to both sides as it could make or unmake their bid to be part of the
roll call at the Morocco 2025 Cup of Nations.
After a day’s rest, the Black Stars returned to the Accra Sports Stadium for their final training session on Saturday to prepare for the trip to Benina, Libya.
An FA statement has also explained that upon arrival, the team will conduct their mandatory training at the Martyrs of February Stadium today in readiness for the Matchday four clash scheduled for 13:00GMT Kick Off tomorrow.
With Angola beating Niger to stretch the lead and maintain a perfect start to the qualifiers, Coach Otto Addo and his charges would come under pressure to deliver the maximum points to breathe life into their campaign.
The Palancas Negras could seal qualification to the championship if they repeat the dose on the Nigeriens if Ghana and Sudan fail to produce a winner.
The Sudanese celebrated the draw in the first leg and would not relent in pulling out another impressive performance to earn a point from the game.
But Coach Otto Addo and his charges are leaving nothing to chance, preparing feverishly to defeat the Sudanese as they hope to snatch what could be the final slot in the group.
