Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie has commissioned the first High Court complex in the Ahafo Region at Goaso, the Regional capital.
The facility, funded by the Asunafo North Municipal Assembly, comprises a courtroom, judge’s chamber, registrar’s office, recorders’ room, bailiffs’ office, store and administrative offices is expected to enhance access to justice by the residents and strengthen justice delivery and promote peace in the region.

Chief Justice Baffoe-Bonnie noted that the project addresses the need for improved judicial infrastructure, citing a 2018-2019 needs assessment that revealed inadequate court facilities across the country.
The Ahafo Regional Minister, Mrs. Charity Gardiner, praised the government’s achievements and announced plans for a university and regional hospital.
She stated that the High Court complex in Ahafo Region is expected to have a significant impact on the region.
According to her, it would increase confidence in the Judiciary and attract businesses, investors and professionals, contributing to local economic growth.
Mrs. Gardiner indicated that the High Court is a symbol of development and represents a milestone in the region’s development, inspiring further investment in infrastructure and services.
The Paramount Chief of Mim, Okofrobuo Dr. Yaw Agyei II, assured the Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs’ support for the Judicial Service of Ghana.
