The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the Black Stars will hold their first training session on Wednesday, November 12, to prepare for their upcoming matches against Japan and South Korea.
The first of the two matches will be against Japan on Friday, November 14, in the 2025 Kirin Cup.
Today, Coach Otto Addo has named an exciting squad to feature for the national team in the two matches.
The Black Stars head into the game without some key players, including captain Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Alexander Djiku, Ernest Nuamah, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.
In the absence of these key players, Otto Addo has handed debut call-ups to three new players.
Among the new faces earning their first senior call-ups are Prince Kwabena Adu, Kelvin Nkrumah, and Prince Osei Owusu.
Adu Kwabena, a striker currently playing in the Czech Republic and formerly of Bechem United, has impressed with his consistent performances and now has the opportunity to prove himself on the international stage.
Medeama SC’s Kelvin Nkrumah also joins the squad, bringing fresh energy to the wing.
Prince Osei Owusu, now with CF Montreal, previously played for Toronto FC, where he scored nine goals in 31 appearances. Born in Wertheim, Germany, Owusu began his professional journey with VfB Stuttgart’s reserve team in 2015.
Sources have confirmed that the invited players have already started reporting to camp on Tuesday, with a full squad expected in the team’s base on Wednesday for the first training session.
