The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, hosted the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Major General William Agyapong, with a Guard of Honour at the National Police Headquarters in Accra.
The ceremony marked Major General Agyapong’s first official visit to the Police Headquarters, since assuming the role of CDS.
He was received by the IGP and members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), who together observed the ceremonial display in his honour.
Following the parade, the IGP and CDS held a meeting, during which they reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening collaboration between the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Armed Forces.
The two leaders discussed key national security concerns, including ongoing efforts to address tensions in Bawku and emphasised the importance of continued inter-agency coordination in maintaining peace and stability across the country.
The visit signals a renewed dedication by the country’s top security agencies to work in closer synergy in response to Ghana’s evolving security landscape.
