
The Managing Director of Prestea Sankofa Gold, Ishaq Dauda, has paid a courtesy call on the Western Regional Minister, Joseph Nelson.The call was for the mine MD to formally introduce himself to the Minister.

The MD was accompanied by management team members, including John Baptiste Bartie, Geological Mining and Exploration Manager, Francis Adarkwa Yiadom, Health and Safety Environmental Manager, Samuel Ayamba, Head of Human Resource and Peter Simpson Kofi Ewomiah, Head of Public Relations.
MD Dauda explained to the Regional Minister that, before taking over as MD of the Mine, the tailing dam had been closed down by the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) over safety issues.
Thankfully, he and his team had been able to work around the clock to resolve the challenge. So currently, the company was into operation.
Regional Minister Joseph Nelson congratulated the MD on his appointment and reminded him how important the mine means to the people of the region most especially the people of Prestea because of the employment and benefit it offers the local people.
He expressed the hope the MD and his team would turn things round and would be in better stead to contribute to the development of the region.
