He has commended the efforts of Justmoh Construction Limited, a Ghanaian-owned construction firm, executing the project during a working visit to the project site on Monday.
The Boankra Integrated Logistics Terminal, also known as the Boankra Inland Port, is a critical infrastructure project aimed at enhancing Ghana’s transportation network and boosting economic growth.
The inland port will serve as a hub for the transportation of goods and cargo and thus reduce congestion at the country’s ports towards improving trade facilitation.
The project’s completion is expected to have a significant impact on Ghana’s economy, creating jobs and stimulating growth in the transportation and logistics sectors.
Professor Gyampo assured the government’s support for the completion of the project, emphasising the need to engage local-based companies in such projects.
“Local companies have the capacity to deliver and it is essential we support them,” he stated.
He observed that despite the financial challenges the construction company faces, it is making frantic efforts to accelerate the progress of the project and meet all deadlines.
“I must say they are doing a wonderful job”, he commended.
With the support of the government, coupled with the expertise of local companies like Justmoh Construction Limited, the Boankra Integrated Logistics Terminal is poised to become a critical component of Ghana’s economic infrastructure, the CEO noted.
The Acting Chief Executive of Ghana Shippers Authority pledged to drive Ghana’s commercial shipping sector forward, through a stakeholder-centered and collaborative approach.
Dr. Justice Amo, Chief Executive Officer of Justmoh Construction Limited assured Prof. Ransford Gyampo and his team that his company will deliver exceptional work on the Boankra Inland Port project to justify the significant investment made by the country.
This commitment, according to Dr. Amo, is a testament to Justmoh Construction’s dedication to excellence and its role in driving Ghana’s economic growth.
The Project Director for Boankra Inland Port, Dr. J. B. Koranteng Yorke, said so far phase one of the project is 82% complete.
He mentioned that currently the company was expecting financial clearance from the government to speed up work at the site.
