The Ghana National Fire Service has since deposited the mortal remains of Linda Agyemang and her three children at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue for preservation.
Residents disclosed to the media that the family members were trapped inside their three-bedroom house in the early hours of Saturday, February 8, 2025 during the fire outbreak.
Three other occupants of the house were, however, rescued and are currently on admission at the Kumasi South Hospital.
Speaking to the media, Ashanti Regional Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Ghana National Fire Service, DO II Peter Addai, confirmed the incident, disclosing that authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
According to DO II Peter Addai, the fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday, having had a distress call about the outbreak.
“We received a distress call reporting a fire at Gyinyase, near Tubi hotel. We quickly dispatched our fire tenders to attend to the fire,” DO II Addai said.
