Oheneba Akwasi Asom II has sworn an oath of allegiance to the Odumasehene, Nana Dr Kofi Antwi II, as the new Akwamuhene of Odumase in the Asante Akim Central Municipality.
The swearing in ceremony took place at the Nana MumuanorAmpam Palace on Monday, December 9, 2024 before the Odumase Traditional Council.Known in private life as Kofi Oppong, Oheneba Asom, 52, from the Bretuo clan and a business man succeeds his late uncle Nana Kwame Oduro.
He vowed to continue with the remarkable leadership of his late uncle. “I won’t let Odumasehene down and I will avail myself of his service at all times. If I go against this, except in sickness, I violate the oath of the great Odumaseman “, he pledged.
The new Akwamuhene assured the youth in the community to provide them jobs in addition to contributing to the development of Odumase.
Nana Dr. Kofi Antwi II and the Queen mother, Nana Yaa Koah II advised the new Akwamuhene to reciprocate the confidence reposed in him by his family members and continue from where his predecessor left off.
The Odumasehene further cautioned him against any act of pride and disobedience.Nana Antwi further advised him to ensure a healthy relationship with his colleague sub-chiefs.
