Afrobeat superstar Davido has responded to his father’s generous donation of N1 billion to the Centenary Endowment Fund of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church. The father of the Nigerian music icon Adedeji Adeleke donated in memory of his mother, Esther Adeleke, during her remembrance service.
“On behalf of our late mother, senior mother in Israel, late Mrs. Esther Adeleke, we want to contribute to the centenary endowment fund, the sum of N1 billion,” he stated.
Davido praised his father’s philanthropic efforts, stating that he loves to support the church and education. He wrote under a comment section: “Anything Church or education, no worry, you don cash out.”
The singer also admired his father on Instagram, saying, “My dear father inspires me daily. Love this man right here.”
Prominent figures, including governors and dignitaries, attended the donation ceremony.
Deji Adeleke is a Nigerian businessman and president of Adeleke University. He is also the CEO of Pacific Holdings Limited. He is the father of Davido, a Nigerian musician and Sharon Adeleke.
