All roads lead to the Akuraso Cultural Centre at Kokofu Akyeremade, the gateway to Amansie District in the Ashanti region.
A number of activities have been slated down towards promoting the cultural values of the people during the Easter festivities.
Mr. Patrick Adu Gyamfi, Chief Executive Officer of Century Investments Limited, explained that the establishment of the Centre located along Century Village is to contribute in his own small towards the promotion of Ashanti culture.
It is intended to promote culture and tradition and unite the people in culture and entertainment, as well as instil a sense of belongingness in the people of the area.
On March 29 and 30, 2024 the centre would be inaugurated under the theme: “Promoting Ashanti Culture,” during which “Bragoro” would be showcased.
Mr. Adu Gyamfi has encouraged indigenes to use the Easter festivities to showcase the rich culture of the people of Amansie.
He called for the involvement of all and sundry to give the initiative the needed boost to promote Ashanti culture.
Besides the Bragoro event, he said other activities have been drawn to make the occasion grand and a memorable one.
These include; Football gala from March 29 to 31, 2024; kids programme and games throughout the Easter from Friday to Monday to unearth their talents, Pool party for kids and and DJs Street Jams on Easter Monday.
According to him, the Century Night Club would be in full operation from March 27 till April 1, 2024.
Donaaso-based Bejoma Band would treat patrons to Live Band music on Sunday March 31, 2024 at the Joana Gardens inside the Century Village.
The programme of activities would be climaxed with a durbar and a fundraising event by the people of Akyeremade in aid of development projects.
The Major sponsors of the Easter programme at the Akuraso Cultural Centre and Century Village are Century Investments Limited, producers of Century sachet water and Media partners including Fox Fm, Silver Fm, Ashh Fm and The Chronicle.
