Alidu Seidu has pledged to work hard and return to his best after Ghana's round of 32 World Cup elimination.
The Stade Rennais right-back replaced Marvin Senaya in the game against Colombia, his only appearance at the World Cup, and struggled as the South Americans edged Ghana.
Despite admitting he was disappointed with his performance and that of the team, Seidu believes the only way back is through hard work.
"A lot of disappointment, but this is far from the end . The only thing that can change my opinion is hard work, and that exactly what I’ll keep doing every single day. I truly believe great things ahead, I’ll keep trusting God’s plan," wrote the defender on social media.
Seidu had spent most of last season on the sidelines due to injury, but made a strong comeback in the second half of the Ligue 1.
"Everyone who stood by me and continue to support me thank you and thank everyone for the support," he added.
The 26-year-old has returned to Ghana and will begin his short vacation before travelling back to France for pre-season.
