Ghanaian midfielder Taufik Seidu has dedicated his Atletico Madrid debut to his family for believing and supporting his career.
The teen sensation was handed his La Liga debut on Saturday, coming off the bench in Atletico Madrid's 2-1 defeat to league leaders Barcelona.
The Spain youth international expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to him realising his dream while also sharing his hope for more game time.
"Years of dreaming about it, years of hard work, years of learning⦠the moment has finally arrived," he posted on Instagram.
He added: "I'm so happy to make my official debut for the club that has been my home since I was 9 years old. It was an unbeatable setting, with the fans at home and with our team. It's a shame about the result, but everyone worked incredibly hard.
"I want to thank everyone who has accompanied me on this journey: coaches, educators, teammates, doctors, physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, and especially my family who have always believed in me⦠this achievement is yours too.
"This isn't the end of it. I'm looking forward to wearing this shirt again. Come on Atleti."
Seidu, who moved at a young age, is expected to make the Rojiblancos squad for the UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against Barcelona in midweek.
